Request:
We were tasked with identifying competitors/projects in MISO based on queue positions of concern provided by the client.
Process:
We utilized land records to identify parcels and project owners associated with each queue position. The parcels were mapped out and a buildability analysis was performed on the sites. For queue positions without parcels, the general location provided in the MISO queue position map was used to estimated buildability. We developed a spreadsheet detailing buildability and fatal flaw issues of the sites including a likely success score to detail the chances of each project getting completed.
Outcome:
We were provided with 107 queue positions and identified the location and project owner of 64 representing 60% of the total. The client also received the likelihood of success spreadsheet.
